David Cramer, Principal Inventor and Founder

David Cramer holds the position of Managing Director at Sparrow Downhole Tools. As well as being responsible for setting corporate direction, David also manages the IP and engineering at Sparrow.

Prior to his role at Sparrow Downhole, David was the Vice President of Technology and General Downhole Technologies where he was responsible for the creation and commercialization of several pieces of oil field technology including a novel downhole valve, MSA magnetic survey correction software, vibration and shock mitigation equipment, and downhole motors. Before working at General Downhole, David was the Research and Development Manager at Phoenix Technology Services where he created a multi-discipline R&D team in charge of sustaining, quality control, manufacturing, and new products. David began his career working for Sperry-Sun and subsequently Halliburton as an MWD field operator.

David received a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from the University of Alberta in 1998 and is the holder of several patents for downhole technology.

Vice President - Co-Founder

JT holds the role of Vice President at Sparrow Downhole Tools. Responsible for the ongoing quality of service and the discovery of new business avenues, JT brings many years of experience to the role.

Prior to working for Sparrow Downhole, JT held the position of Vice President of Business Development at General Downhole Technologies. While there, JT was responsible for the creation of the Thru-Tubing business line of General Downhole Flow Control Tools. JT began his career in Oil and Gas supervising mud programs on drilling rigs for New West Drilling Fluids before moving into a business development role for that same company and then into business development roles throughout the industry.

JT has an education in Economics and extensive business development exposure spanning over ten years experience across oilfield technology/manufacturing segments with an emphasis on client-facing operations. With a strong focus on revolutionary and trail blazing solutions he is dedicated to building relationships, driving revenue, expanding influence, and delivering exceptional service through visionary leadership.
